The Holy Spirit Seminary is an inter-diocesan seminary forming candidates to the Catholic priesthood for all dioceses of Papua New Guinea. This year we have 52 seminarians.
We have a building of the library with books, but they are required to be put in order and catalogued. And after that the seminarians need to be trained how to use the library, how to use the resources and do the research on-line.
Duties include
Propose the electronic equipment (laptop, scanner, printer (to be used with the QR/barcode)
Choose, install and setup the software for the library. Should be simple that the seminarians can use it without long introduction
Check the existing books, put them in order in same sections
Organize the electronic catalogue of the existing books (hardcopies).
Train the seminarians how to use the electronic catalogue and manage the library after the departure of the volunteer.
